can I get microblading?

This is a list of things to consider before your appointment. It’s important to read over these lists carefully for the safest and smoothest appointment.

before your brows

you must read and acknowledge these terms prior to booking.

If you are possibly eligible but need approval, its mandatory to get approval prior to booking your appointment. To do so please reach out to (214)817-9578 or browalmighty@gmail.com.
You may text or email photos of your brows in clear lighting with no makeup on.
From there we can discuss your options and help to manage realistic expectations for your brows and skin.

These are the recommended guidelines, however there are always special circumstances that occur. Please use common sense.

ineligible without exception

Individuals under 18 years of age

Brow Almighty cannot tattoo anyone under the age of 18, even with parental consent.

Women who are pregnant or nursing

The highest risk is being prone to infection. Your skin may change and results can be unpredictable.

undergoing chemotherapy/radiation treatment

Higher risk of infection and a compromised immune system may lead to irregular healing. It’s best to wait until the conclusion of treatments for microblading/shading.

Organ Transplant patient or Joint Replacement Patient

The risk of developing an infection is higher in people with compromised immune system, or individuals taking immunosuppressant medication.

Prone to Hypertrophic Scarring/Keloid

Because of the nature of the tattoo, there is always a risk of keloid when healing.

allergies to metals or colorants

Please consider reaching out for an MSDS sheet of ingredients to see if this applies to you. Also note that allergies in the skin can appear years down the line and may not have an immediate reaction.

psoriasis, eczema, rosacea, dermatitis, severe skin allergies, or severe acne in the treated area

Any one of these skin conditions may compromise the surface and texture of the skin. Procedure performed on skin with these type of condition is extremely likely to have sub par results.

hemophelia or taking blood thinning medication

Thinning of the blood, can lead to excessive bleeding, slower healing, poor results, and high risk of infection.

possibly eligible, but requires approval prior to booking

If you are 50 years of age or older

While microblading and shading can be an excellent way to enhance the brows and lift the eyes, some techniques are better suited for certain skin types long term. Mature skin should be considered with care and expertise, as it is most prone to the irreversible side effects of migration and scarring.

If you have microblading or shading done by a different artist

No matter how old or faded, it’s important that we discuss the results and frequency of your previous appointments. There are some factors to be considered before covering up or reworking old brows: pigment saturation, scarring, symmetry and shape, pigment color, etc.

immunocompromised or taking immunosupressant medication

(Hashimoto, Graves, Lupus, Cronh’s, Rheuatoid Athritis, Von Willebrand’s, Sjogren’s, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, etc.) Individuals with autoimmune diseases or taking immunosuppressant medication have a higher risk or infection and may experience slower healing. Untimely healing can lead to unpredictable and irregular healed results. Individuals that are eligible may still experience greater loss of retention and may require more touchups overtime, because of this I would recommend shading over microblading. If approved to book, a doctors clearance may be required.

diabetic

Individuals with diabetes have a higher risk or infection and may experience slower healing. Untimely healing can lead to unpredictable and irregular healed results. Individuals that are eligible may still experience greater loss of retention and may require more touchups overtime, because of this I would recommend shading over microblading. If approved to book, a doctors clearance may be required.

heart related & blood pressure medications

You may be prone to swelling, redness, and excessive bleeding. Excessive bleeding will lead to slower healing, poor results, and high risk of infection. Excessive bleeding during the procedure can dilute and expel the pigment color and lead to poor results. To lesson the likelihood of excessive bleeding, I would recommend shading over microblading. If approved to book, a doctors clearance may be required.

Recovering from Lid Lift or Laser Eye Surgery

Case by case. A proper wait time between surgery and appointment date is required, but the length of time may vary for each client. Doctor’s clearance is required

Individuals with Glaucoma

The risk of developing an eye infection is higher. If approved to book, a doctors clearance is required.

Using Prescription Skin/Acne Medication (Topically or Orally)

Topical and oral medications that effect the skin have a huge influence on the healed results of the brow and longevity. Clients may experience increased sensitivity, skin may be resistant to treatment, and results may fade quickly. Some medications can be considered, so I recommend to reach out for approval as well as make a plan with your Dermatologist. Skin regimens may be timed to allow the microblading/shading appointment. Please consider that continued use of topical or oral skin medications may have adverse effects on the longevity and color.

eligible with understanding

allergies & sensitvity to numbing medication or epinephrine

Clients with allergies or sensitivities to numbing medication or epinephrine can proceed with the appointment, but may have a level of discomfort without use of medication. We do have epinephrine free or low epinephrine numbing options. Shading may be suggested over microblading as it can be done more comfortably without numbing medications.

use of accutane

You must be off accutane or any generic brand for at least a year. For some individuals the powerful effects of accutane may still influence the skin after a year depending of the length of medication use.

tanning bed users or sun bathers

The sun and artificial tanning will dissolve your tattoo and damage your tattooed skin. If I see that the results of the microblading/shading is dissolving in the skin due to over tanning, I may decide to cease future treatments to protect the integrity and health of your skin.
